Anne Berlin is an award winning musical theater writer for the musical Charlie Chang and the Mysterious Salami (with Andy Cohen), which won best musical at the Bad Musicals Festival ‘08. Other musicals include Ripcords, Pocket Change, The Little Drummer Boy and Rocky’s First Christmas (all with Andy Cohen) and Howling Hilda. She has written lyrics for a choral piece about Anne Frank, entitled Ode to a Young Girl: Annalies Marie Frank (music by Andrew Bleckner). Her work has appeared in FringeNYC ’08, The Shortened Attention Span Musical Festival, E.A.T. Emerging Artists Theatre and Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. Last month her song cycle Love Stinks appeared in the abridged series at SPF (Summer Play Festival). She is also the writer and producer of Monaco which premiered in the presence of Prince Albert of Monaco and was the first short film ever licensed to the TV station Romance Classics. Monaco was also seen on IFC and film festivals here and abroad. The Green Manifesto is her seventh new musical and marks her fourth collaboration with Valentina Fratti and her sixth with Andy Cohen and there is more to come! Music - Andy Cohen Show/HideAndy Cohen has written music or designed sound for many theater productions in and around NYC, including work at Lincoln Center, Fordham University, HERE, La Mama, Theater for the New City, Luna Stages (Montclair, NJ), and the New York International Fringe Festival where he was an “excellence” award winner in 2000. His recent projects have included Mountain Jews (for the Jewish Theater of New York at the Triad Theatre), The Man in the Newspaper Hat (at the 45th Street Theater), and several new musicals with book writer and lyricist Anne Berlin. Director - Valentina Fratti Show/HideValentina Fratti most recently wrote and directed Unearthed, a benefit for the Italian Earthquake victims, at the Cherry Lane Theatre. With Anne Berlin and Andy Cohen she has directed workshops of their musicals Love Stinks (SPF Abridged Festival, Public Theatre) Little Drummer Boy and Rocky's First Christmas and Pocket Change. Other recent credits: Ginna Carter's Traffic School with Elaine Stritch; Open House at Six Figures' Artists of Tomorrow; Patriot Act at the Castillo Theatre; Jeff Daniels' Apartment 3A; Young Playwrights Festivals at the Cherry Lane Alternative and the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Playwrights Horizons. At the Miranda Theater Co, which she co founded and where she served as Artistic Director for 12 years, she directed The Book of Wren, Innocent Thoughts, Prostitutki and Near Normal. She was Assistant Director to Doug Hughes on Rebecca Gilman's adaptation of The Heart is a Lonely Hunter and to Robert Falls on his production of Gilman's Blue Surge at the Public Theater. Her plays include The Male Appetite, Jerusalem Mountain, and Shooting Medea. She works with commercial producer Jane Harmon and was the Associate Producer on the Broadway production of Alfred Uhry's The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Tony Award, Best Play). She is the recipient of the 2009 Alice Kaplan Institute Guest Artist residency at Norhtwestern University.
Choreographer - Karl Christian Show/HideKarl Christian has choreographed many benefits for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, including Gypsy of the Year, The Easter Bonnet Competition and Broadway Bares. Regional Credits include Stephen Schwartz's Snapshots at the Human Race Theatre, Little Women at the John Ingeman Theatre and industrials for Wal*Mart. His work in television can be seen on ABC's Brothers and Sisters. Up next: Rent at the Ingeman Theatre in September!
Assistant Director - Annie Rutherford Lutz Show/HideAnnie Rutherford Lutz is approaching her senior year at Rutgers University as a double major in Theatre Arts and English. She is a member of the Livingston Theatre Company, where she has performed, costume designed, and directed. She will be directing her senior honors thesis, Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice, this coming fall at the Cabaret Theatre. Annie plans to make a life in this world of theatre by directing, designing, and of course performing. Previous roles include Woman 1 in Songs for a New World, Little Sally in Urinetown, Jeanette in The Full Monty, and Polly in Crazy for You. Assistant Stage Manager - Katy Moore Show/HideKaty Moore recently left the world of wealth management to pursue her long-held dream of being able to pay the rent working as a Stage Manager. She is concurrently the Co-SM of this show and the SM of another Fringe show, "Just Don't Touch Me, Amigo". Off-Broadway credits include "The Imaginary Invalid" (2009) at The Cell Theatre and Andy & Edie" (2004) at Shetler Studios. Even though she is a recent addition to the off-broadway world, Katy has been involved in theatre at many different levels, including costumer designer for the Pied Piper Children's Theatre in Inwood for a couple of years, stage manager/director/designer for several community theatres in Memphis, TN.
